Indications
- Acute bacterial diarrhoea
- Chronic diarrhoea
- Bacterial gastroenteritis
- Acute bacterial colitis
- Travelers diarrhoea
Dosage
Age | Dose |
Children <2 months |
5ml Every 12 hours for 3 days |
2 months – 1 year |
5ml Every 8 hours for 3 days |
Children over 1 year |
5ml Every 6 hours for 3 days |
Adults
One Capsule every 6 hours for 3days
Side effects
- Constipation
- Urticaria
Contraindications
Do not give nifuroxazide to patients with known allergy to the drug
